The Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Studies and (CACDS) together with National Institute for Strategic Studies (NISS), supported by the NATO Liaison Office Ukraine in Ukraine, will conduct the Round Table “Military-technical cooperation between Ukraine and NATO/EU member-states: current situation, challenges and development options”.
The event will be held in Kyiv, April 16 in NISS conference hall, 7a Pyrogova St.
A program of the Round Table will be focused on the following issues:
Current dynamics of Ukraine’s cooperation with NATO and EU in defence sector;
- Priority areas for strengthening the defence cooperation of Ukraine with NATO and EU and the ways for strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities;
- Perspectives for extending of Ukraine’s participation in the EU defence projects;
- Ukraine-NATO cooperation: vision of the defense industry representatives;
- Review of the Ukrainian defense industry companies cooperation with partners from Allied countries;
- Opportunities and challenges for NATO defense industry companies in Ukraine: practical aspects
- Possible areas of joint international projects for modernization of military equipment in Ukraine;
- Improvement of domestic defense industry by privatization of some defense companies.
Representatives from governing bodies, including, Ministry of Defense, MFA, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, SC”Ukroboronprom”, NATO, NSPA, EDA, as well as Ukrainian and foreign NGOs, business representatives and media will take part in the conference.
Foreign and Ukrainian companies’ representatives will get opportunities to make speeches during the event.
