It looks like the terrible terrorist attacks in Paris on November 13 became a real surprise for French special services. They were unable to prevent killing of dozens of French people by terrorists, who apparently professed radical Islam. No doubt, this situation can happen in any European country. International terrorism again and again demonstrates its ability to hurt even the most developed society and the most advanced state.
It doesn`t make sense to ask for immediate answer who the organizer is, who has an interest and what kind of situation will develop after attacks in Paris. This is all just a guesswork and answers will be found after all. However, CACDS thinks Russia is the only world power which may have strategic interest in this situation. Tragedy in Paris perfectly fits into the Russian strategy of “multiplicity of conflicts”. Maximal destabilization of the situation in the EU, which will increasingly shake European and Euro Atlantic consolidation, and provocation of the new conflicts in the Middle East and other regions of the world – that seems to be the Kremlin’s goal. But, what is really difficult to understand, is the unwillingness of the West to accept that radical pro-Russian Orthodox terrorists from “Donetsk/Lugansk People’s Republics” and radical Islamists are practically the same evil. Both are killing dozens, hundreds, thousands of Europeans because of their ideological postulates. Both are defying the civilized world and hating European values. Both believe that Europeans are “perverts and sinners”.
Then, why radical Islamists are recognized as terrorists, and nobody is talking to them, just crushing them? At the same time, pro-Russian terrorists are signing memoranda under OSCE auspices, taking part in international working groups, in “Minsk process” etc. Why, actually, the Western countries refuse to help Ukraine in just crushing the terrorists supported by Russia?
While we still observe the bloody smoke of explosion in Paris, Europe should stop playing games with pro-Russian terrorists trying to keep the frozen threats coming from Moscow. International terrorism cannot be destroyed “selectively”, but only through a total war and unconditional destruction, regardless of the fact who the criminal boss is and how much of gas he has. Otherwise, Paris or Berlin, Prague and Vilnius, Kyiv or Sofia will time and again have to express condolences to each other.
Europe must be truly united. Ukraine is ready for it. What about the other Europeans?
We express our deepest condolences to France.
